Bethesda Robotics offers summer camps for rising 3rd through 8th graders, teaching them the basics of robotics. The camp uses VEX kits, the same kits used in the Project Lead The Way (PLTW) classes at Walt Whitman High School. At Whitman, VEX kits are used in Digital Electronics, Principles of Engineering, and Aerospace Engineering. The lead instructor is PLTW certified in Digital Electronics, Introduction to Engineering Design, and Aerospace Engineering. Campers will learn coding in RobotC, will practice the Design Process, and will build both controlled and autonomous robots. Most importantly, though, we plan on having a lot of fun over the one-week camp. To register, click on the registration link above to reserve your seat now. We want to keep the instructor-to-camper ratio low, so we will only hold 10 seats. Hope to see you there!
Building robots using Vex Kits is easy. The parts snap together and we have a lot of neat components to make your robots follow all kind of instructions.
